The exhibition was created by the team of the War Museum in cooperation with the fighters of the russian Volunteer Corps (RVC).
The RVC is a part of the Security and Defense Forces within the “Tymur Special Unit” of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine (HUR MO). The Corps consists of russian citizens who, during the full-scale invasion, united to defend Ukraine against the aggressor. Since its founding in 2022, the RVC has evolved from a small group of like-minded individuals into an elite, well-structured military force that defends Ukraine’s freedom and fights against the kremlin regime.
Today, the russian Volunteer Corps continues to fight the russian army on Ukrainian soil. The Avdiivka “Road of Life,” the defense of Vovchansk, missions in the Black Sea, the assault and liberation of the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant, and other military operations of the Corps will take their rightful place in the history of the russo-Ukrainian War.
The exhibition tells a story of risk and valor, honor and soldierly dignity, and of personal choice as an internal conflict. It is the story of a group of like-minded people who underwent their baptism of fire in the russo-Ukrainian War to become a model for others, leading the ongoing resistance against the putin regime.
