TARGET DESTROYED: THE SKY OF KYIV REGION

2 April 2026

The exhibition, dedicated to the events of February – April 2022, is deployed on the territory of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War.

It tells about one of the key stages – the struggle for the sky over Kyiv region in the first days of the full-scale invasion.

At the core of the exhibition are real materials from the combat operations of the units of Air Command “Center”: photographs, elements of destroyed enemy aircraft, remnants of missiles and drones.

Each exhibit is the result of the work of those who carried out the tasks of protecting the capital and the region.

Today, this project makes it possible to see the events of that time through specific facts and results, as well as to understand the path that has been traveled from the first days of defense to the current capabilities in protecting Ukrainian skies.

We invite you to visit the exhibition and see the history of the defense of the Kyiv region sky from the inside.
