The Museum’s library collection has been enriched with Oleksandr Kucheruk’s book “1917–1921. Volodymyrska Street: A Directory of Institutions, Individuals, and Events”.
Volodymyrska Street became one of the focal points of the history of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917–1921. It was here that institutions responsible for major state decisions were located, representatives of the Ukrainian movement worked, government bodies were formed, and events took place that shaped Ukraine’s future.
Through familiar Kyiv buildings, their addresses, and historical testimonies, renowned researcher Oleksandr Kucheruk helps readers see this urban space as a place that preserves the memory of the people, decisions, and events of the era of Ukrainian state-building.
We sincerely thank the author, Oleksandr Kucheruk, for his work in preserving historical memory, as well as “Varto” Publishing House for donating a copy of the book to the library.
Every new book added to the Museum library’s collection is another key to understanding the past and researching the history of Ukraine.
