To mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, the Museum, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Institute for Education Development, announces the All-Ukrainian online lesson “Our Victory.”
One of the most important outcomes of the Second World War was the defeat of Nazism and fascism in Europe – a victory in which Ukrainians played a significant role. At the same time, the territory of Ukraine was twice engulfed by the flames of war, bringing with it mass casualties, widespread destruction, and the repressive measures of both Stalin’s and Hitler’s totalitarian regimes.
This lesson, developed on the basis of the Museum’s collection, is designed to honor the contribution of the Ukrainian people to the victory over Nazism and to emphasize the heavy price Ukraine paid in that global conflict. The session will help teachers deepen students’ understanding of the events of the Second World War, highlight the experiences of the Ukrainian people during the conflict, and underscore the importance of preserving the historical memory of this pivotal period.
The live broadcast of the lesson will take place on September 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM on YouTube via the link.
