We invite school and student youth to join the Annual All-Ukrainian Youth Scientific and Practical Conference “Preserving Memory in Times of Trial in the 20th–21st Centuries,” which will take place on March 24, 2026.
The conference is organized by the War Museum in cooperation with the Kyiv Department of Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Communal Institution of Out-of-School Education), with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The events of Ukrainian history in the 20th–21st centuries — the First World War and the struggle for liberation, the Second World War and armed resistance against occupational regimes, the fight for freedom and the right to self-determination, the War for Ukraine’s Independence, and the defense of statehood — have become important stages in the formation of national identity and political culture. Currently, the key tasks of society are to preserve the memory of the events that determined the fate of the Ukrainian people and to understand their significance for the present and the future.
The Annual All-Ukrainian Youth Scientific and Practical Conference “Preserving Memory in Times of Trial in the 20th–21st Centuries” is an important platform for shaping the historical consciousness of young people and engaging them in understanding the complex pages of Ukraine’s past. The event promotes the development of research skills, critical thinking, and civic activity among students.
We invite the following to participate in the conference:
- Students of general secondary education institutions (grades 9–11);
- Students of vocational (vocational-technical) education institutions;
- Students of professional pre-higher education institutions aged 14–18;
- Students of higher education institutions.
A collection of reports will be published based on the conference results.
