Artisttalk with Myroslav Vaida

On 3 July, at 18:00, the War Museum will host “Artisttalk” with Myroslav Vaida, a Ukrainian artist.

War, as a total social upheaval, affects all spheres of our lives, and art is no exception. Since the beginning of the russian-Ukrainian war, which was preceded by the Revolution of Dignity, contemporary Ukrainian art has undergone significant changes.

Ideas, themes, images and approaches began to transform along with the change of Ukrainian society, its values and orientations.

Within the framework of the project “War: Inverse Perspective”, Myroslav Vaida, its participant and artist, will talk about the way his art has been developing since 2014. He emphasizes at installations as a way of reflecting reality, wartime and the artist’s experience. It will be considered new systems and redefinitions of traditions, as well as modern art education and reformation of Ukrainian museums.

The conversation will be moderated by Anton Logov, a curator for the exhibition “War: Inverse Perspective”.
