On March 14, 2025, at 14:00, a creative meeting with the Honored Artist of Ukraine, officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Senior Lieutenant Dmytro Linartovych, will be held in the Main Building of the War Museum.
During the event, the Defender will perform his songs, read poetry—a slovospiv (song of words)—and share his memories of the front and the war.
The theater, film, and dubbing actor played the leading roles in cult Ukrainian films, dubbed over two hundred characters in foreign films. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Dmytro Linartovych volunteered to go to the front. The defense of Kyiv and battles in the Kherson region near Bakhmut and Soledar became his real, non-cinematic life. In January 2023, the Defender was wounded and contused in the fighting for Soledar.
Now, Dmytro Linartovych has returned to military service and supports the military’s morale. He is fully committed to his creative mission: to convey to civilians the truth about the heroism and self-sacrifice of our Defenders through artistic means. The poems in his poetry collection, "Slovospiv," were born at the front—they convey the indomitability of the Ukrainian spirit, love for the Motherland, and faith in victory. Each poem is a separate universe, full of courage, honor, and memory of the heroic pages of our history, and each word is a sharp weapon that defends Ukrainian identity.
