Defense of Kyiv Region. Museum Retrospective

Children at the Museum / Excursions and interactive events / 23 March 2025

During the intense days of 2022, the citizens of Kyiv faced some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Ukrainian troops defended the capital and managed to reclaim its outskirts from russian invaders, ultimately liberating the entire northern region of Ukraine. The Museum team diligently documented these historic events in our country’s history.

On the third anniversary of the defense and liberation of the Kyiv region, we commemorate these significant events through the museum project "Kyiv: One-Day Report. March 8, 2022." This was the world’s first museum photo exhibition dedicated to the full-scale russian-Ukrainian war. It was presented that same month and showcased in 12 countries.

Museum tour guide Alla Hrushetska will also demonstrate artifacts collected by museum employees during field expeditions to the liberated territories.

Curator: Museum tour guide Alla Hrushetska

Price: UAH 100 (for schoolchildren and students), UAH 150 (for adults).

The price includes an entrance ticket and a tour.
