This Saturday, as part of the museum’s book club, we will delve into the personal world of the prominent Ukrainian writer, film director, and screenwriter Oleksandr Dovzhenko and get acquainted with his "Diary".
Through the lens of the artist’s heartfelt and emotional works created between 1941 and 1956, we gain insight into the pain of his losses and his unwavering faith in the future of Ukraine. We will explore Dovzhenko’s profound reflections on war, as well as his experiences at the front and the mental hardships he faced. Through the author’s literary imagery, we will see a living person filled with doubts, joys, and unshakable strength of spirit.
Unique museum exhibits and newsreels will effectively complement the "Diary" and help you explore the era more deeply.
