Drones for the GUR

Our partners / 27 November 2025

The handover of 50 FPV drones to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine (GUR MO) took place within the walls of the War Museum as part of the all-Ukrainian campaign “Tasty, Because It’s for Drones!”

Dedicated to the Day of Military Intelligence of Ukraine, the “Modern Ukraine” Charitable Foundation launched a large-scale fundraising campaign for the needs of the GUR, setting an ambitious goal—to purchase 100 SECRET BOX (sets) by the end of 2025. Volunteers managed to engage over 170 restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and hotel-restaurant complexes from all over the country. Businesses from other sectors also joined the fundraising. The Foundation decided to present the first results of this work in the space of the War Museum—its permanent partner.

During the event, Yevhenii Yerin, a representative of the GUR of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, assured that all drones would be sent to one of the hottest sectors of combat operations. Meanwhile, the President of the “Modern Ukraine” Charity Foundation, Volodymyr Havrysh, thanked the campaign participants, emphasizing that this batch of SECRET BOXes would be handed over directly to the GUR “Shaman” Battalion.

A pleasant surprise was the presentation of a special artifact to the Director General of the War Museum, Yurii Savchuk—a postage stamp signed by the Chief of the GUR of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, depicting the mural “The Wise Man Rules the Stars.” The head of the Museum thanked Volodymyr Havrysh for adding valuable artifacts to the Museum’s collection, noted the long-standing cooperation connecting the Museum with the GUR and the “Modern Ukraine” Charity Foundation, and emphasized the honor of participating in supporting Ukrainian military intelligence.
