Furry Professionals: Cynology During the War

Events / Museum Life / 3 April 2026

🐕 Today, service dogs are about much more than just searching or apprehending. They are about trust, endurance, and daily work in conditions where humans often reach their limits.

To mark the Cynological Service Day of Ukraine, we invite you to a meeting with Kateryna Bieliaieva, an inspector-cynologist from the Cynological Center of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kyiv Region, and her service dogs.

This is not merely a conversation about the specifics of the cynologist profession; it is an opportunity to understand the formation of the bond between human and dog—a bond that no threat or danger can break.

We will discuss:

🐶 The work of the cynology service during the war;

🐶 The participation of dogs in search and rescue operations;

🐶 Their role in the recovery and support of our defenders;

🐶 Human-dog interaction in extreme conditions.

🗓 Date & Time: April 3, 2:00 PM

📍 Location: War Museum, 27 Lavrska St., Kyiv

Come and discover the answer to the riddle: how to say “dedication, courage, and intelligence” in just one word!
