Opening of the "Operation Interflex" Exhibition

Exhibitions and presentations / 3 October 2026

The British Embassy in Ukraine and the War Museum have presented an exhibition on Operation Interflex, a training programme for Ukrainian military personnel in the United Kingdom.

The exhibition is based on materials from an exhibition of the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom.

Speakers at the official opening included the British Ambassador to Ukraine, Sir Neil Crompton; the Museum’s Acting Director General, Oleh Kucheriavyi; and AFU StratCom’s Hanna Melnyk.

Launched following the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Operation Interflex brings together military personnel from the United Kingdom and 13 partner nations: Albania, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Kosovo, Lithuania, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Romania, and Sweden. More than 67,000 Ukrainians have already completed the training. Participants include ordinary recruits, sergeants, chaplains, medics, and personnel in other military specialities. The programme continues to adapt to Ukraine’s necessities, shifting from basic general military training to specialised instruction. Primary focus will be placed on training Ukrainian troops in medicine, engineering support, and logistics, as well as training helicopter pilots.

The photos and videos featured in the exhibition show Ukrainian military personnel acquiring new skills in the United Kingdom.
