Opening of the Volunteer Season 2025

Our partners / 9 January 2025

The Museum volunteer hub opened the 2025 season with new friends—the Public Organization "Initiative E+."

18 cars (minibuses and off-road vehicles), delivered to Ukraine by Danish volunteers from the Biler til Ukraine organization, were handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the foot of the Motherland Monument.

The "Initiative E+" organization was founded during the Revolution of Dignity as an association of Maidan doctors. Since then, they have been helping both the military and civilians. Since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the "Initiative E+" has intensified assistance to the front, military, and civilians who suffered the most from the war. So far, volunteers have delivered and handed over more than 700 vehicles, including more than 180 ambulances and 95 large passenger buses, most of which have been converted into mobile hospitals, to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

We thank the Ukrainian and Danish volunteers. The Museum is thrilled that the new year of 2025 started with the expansion of our volunteer hub through new partnerships and that the military received substantial assistance!
