President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the War Museum!

Museum Life / 10 November 2025

On the eve of the All-Ukrainian Day of Culture Workers and Masters of Folk Art, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored cultural figures with high state awards and honorary titles. The War Museum was chosen as the venue for this state event.

The President of Ukraine, Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy – Minister of Culture of Ukraine Tetiana Berezhna, and the participants of the meeting also viewed the Museum’s exhibition, “War: Inverse Perspective,” dedicated to the artistic reflection on the experience of living through the Second World War and the russian-Ukrainian War.

The Museum and its exhibition projects were presented to the high-ranking guests by the Director General of War Museum, Yurii Savchuk, while the curatorial tour of the “War: Inverse Perspective” exhibition was conducted by Deputy Director General for Institutional Development Yurii Horpynych.

It is a great honor for our institution to be the venue for such an important state event and to present our own projects to the country’s leadership. This event is a recognition of the Museum as a center of memory, culture, and contemporary understanding of the war, and a confirmation that it is through culture that we continue the fight for our freedom and future.
