As part of National Barrier-Free Week, a training lecture was held at the War Museum on May 20 by Senior Lieutenant Yevheniia Vasylenko, a certified psychologist and head of the combat stress control group of the 210th Assault Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In her presentation to the Museum staff, the lecturer focused on communication approaches with various categories of visitors, particularly those who have experienced traumatic events due to the ongoing war.
A special topic of discussion was interaction with current service members and veterans of the russian-Ukrainian war. The psychologist shared her personal experience, introduced museum staff to effective practices of inclusive communication, and conducted a practical session.
We sincerely thank Yevheniia for the training. The knowledge gained will become an essential element in implementing inclusivity principles in the daily work of the War Museum.
