"Slovospiv is a unique combination of words, poetry, and music, in which the code of the Ukrainian nation sounds"

Dmytro Linartovych

On the occasion of Ukrainian Volunteer Day, a creative meeting with theater, film, and dubbing actor, singer of original songs, and military serviceman Senior Lieutenant Dmytro Linartovych took place at the War Museum.

Dmytro dedicated his life to creativity. His characters in "HeWhoWalkedThroughTheFire," "Exchange," and "Communal Work" captured the hearts of the audience, and over two hundred characters from everyone’s favorite movies and cartoons will always speak with the artist’s voice.

From the very first days of the full-scale invasion by the кussian army, Dmytro Linartovych became a volunteer to defend his homeland with weapons in hand. Amid heavy battles, during brief moments of rest, he continued to write poetry. These works were later included in the collection titled "Slovospiv." The poems, created during wartime, bear the scars of battle and are nurtured by the dedicated efforts of volunteers while resonating with the courageous hearts of our soldiers.

In the museum, the sounds of the guitar, original poems, batiar songs, film melodies, and unique slovospivs resonated, leaving a lasting impression on our hearts. Dmytro Linartovych, while performing his works, guided us through the battlefields, introduced us to his comrades-in-arms, expressed gratitude to the volunteers, and honored the Ukrainian volunteers.

The guests at the meeting included cadets from the Heroes of Kruty Military Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technology, as well as students from the "Lithurt" Center for Extracurricular Activities in the Sviatoshyn District of Kyiv. They openly expressed their emotions and were reluctant to let the artist leave after the event, wanting to convey their gratitude.

The War Museum team is also sincerely grateful to Dmytro Linartovych for holding an incredible event within our walls. Your feat as a Defender is invaluable, and your creativity shows the indomitability of the Ukrainian spirit and instills faith in the Victory.
