The Motherland Monument lit up with the colours of Great Britain

International Cooperation / Museum Life / 16 January 2026

Today marks one year since the signing of the historic Agreement on a Century-Long Partnership between the United Kingdom and Ukraine.

On this occasion, the Motherland Monument was illuminated in the colours of the flags of the United Kingdom and Ukraine, as well as the logo of the 100-year partnership between the two nations.

The light installation was presented by the British Ambassador to Ukraine, Neil Crompton. The UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade, Kemi Badenoch, also took part in the event.

For the War Museum, it is an honour to serve as the venue for commemorating the anniversary of this historic agreement between the two countries!
