Ray, Tsiga, Naomi, Pan, Ramsey, Una, Zolly, Daira, Stepan, Zhuzha, Alf, Simon, Django, Waik, Ronda, Scar, Adet, Bigi, Koks, Wright-Ruf, Mytnytsia, Furiia, Hunter, Archie, Noris, Besha, and their cynologist partners were honored with special awards from the All-Ukrainian Public Organization “Ukrainian Kennel Union” (UKU), with the assistance of Bravecto and Royal Canin.
The work of these four-legged heroes is complex and dangerous. They search for mines in territories liberated from the occupiers and for people under the rubble of buildings after rashist missile strikes, help expose smugglers, find drugs and explosives, and locate missing persons.
This year’s awards ceremony coincided with the 35th anniversary of the Ukrainian Kennel Union — a community of cynology professionals and enthusiasts.
In his welcoming speech, Museum General Director Yurii Savchuk emphasized: “This event has incredible energy and atmosphere. I am delighted that the award ceremony for these cynological pairs is taking place here for the second time.”
UKU President Zoia Oleinikova presented Yurii Savchuk with a letter of appreciation for the fruitful cooperation and invaluable support of the “Four-Legged Defenders,” stressing that the War Museum is a special place, and honoring the contribution of cynological pairs here is extremely valuable and an immense honor.
Congratulations to the cynologists and their furry comrades-in-arms on receiving their awards, and happy founding anniversary to the Kennel Union!
