On March 18, 2025, at 5:00 PM in the main building of the Museum (Motherland Monument) will take place an event «The word of witness» – a meeting with the volunteers from Brazil who defend Ukraine in rows of the Second International Legion:

Adamir Nivaldo Anghinoni, a combat medic, sergeant of the medical company, from the city of Recife. Arrived in Ukraine in August 2023. During this time, he served near the Serebrianka village, the city of Pokrovsk and and the city of Chasiv Yar.

Jeferson «Poltava» Milani, junior sergeant, arrived in Ukraine in June 2023 from the city of Torres. He initially served in the 1st Battalion of the International Legion. During the year of the service he carried out combat missions on the Bakhmut direction and near Serebrianka village.

soldier Luiz André Coinaski Apolinário, «Yeshua», from the state Rio Grande do Sull. Since Jenuary 9, 2023 he served near Serebrianka village, Chasiv Yar and Terny cities.
The event will take place within the international project FOR FREEDOM, dedicated to all foreign volunteers protecting Ukraine.
The defenders will tell about their motivation to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Ukrainians against Russian aggression, their combat routine and challenge’s on their path.
The visitors will also be able to listen to a tour of the FOR FREEDOM exhibition. Entrance is free.
The word of witness is a unique format of the event, where the visitors have an opportunity to hear firsthand about combat and life experience of the historical events participants. The Museum organizes events in this format on a permanent basis, but for first time our heroes are guests from Brazil.
