Children at the Museum / Excursions and interactive events / 11 May 2025

On May 11, Mother’s Day, the War Museum invites you to the interactive tour "To Wait and to Live: Mothers’ Experiences in Times of War", which will unveil touching stories of motherhood during the most tragic period of the 20th century.

This tour offers a new perspective on World War II through the lens of personal stories of women who waited, loved, lost, and kept living for the sake of their children. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of those years and learn about the hardships faced by mothers, their courage, self-sacrifice, and unwavering hope for victory and the return of their loved ones.

Motherhood during wartime is about unbreakable resilience, the daily struggle for survival, and the fight for the future.
