What are the Universals issued by the Ukrainian Central Rada during its existence? Of course, these are documents that were important for our state-building. At the beginning of the Ukrainian Revolution, the Ukrainian political elites underwent a rapid and challenging transformation. They shifted from advocating for national and territorial autonomy and seeking compromise with the Provisional Government to ultimately proclaiming the Ukrainian People’s Republic and declaring its independence.
During the workshop, we will not only look at the history of Ukrainian state-building as part of a tour of the Sign on the Shield exhibition but also try ourselves as state-builders with our vision of Ukraine, which will be manifested in the Fifth Universal, and outline our borders based on both historical context and contemporary realities.
