World War II. Our Victory

Events / 28 April 2025

The War Museum invites students and teachers to an online lesson dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe. We aim to revisit familiar chapters of history from a fresh perspective. Our focus will be on the Second World War, emphasizing real lives through letters from the front, photographs from old albums, and artifacts that preserve the memories of generations.

Why is this war not merely a page in a textbook? What role did the Ukrainian people play in it? Why is it still important to understand the cost of that Victory?

During the lessons, students will learn about how the war changed our cities and families, the participation of Ukrainians in the victory over Nazism, and the significance of museum artifacts that witnessed the war.

Moderators from the Museum will talk about the main events of the war that took place on the territory of Ukraine, reveal little-known facts, and show how those events shaped our identity.
