This is an exhibition of works by the French street artist Christian Guémy aka C215. The latest works of the artist, created in Ukraine as a reflection of russia’s cruelty and courage of the Ukrainian people in the ongoing war, are on display.
The central installation of the exhibition is a symbolic checkpoint turned into an art object by the author. This is demonstration of Ukrainian defenders’ fortitude.
An important axis of the project is the series of portraits of Ukraine’s defenders who died in battles. Men and women, elder and younger, famous and less famous – Christian Guémy created the images of heroes that are supplemented by the authentic objects from the War Museum’s collection belonging to these warriors during their lifetime.
Part of the displayed artworks was created on the war artifacts collected by the Museum in the field expeditions to the affected areas of Ukraine.
