Praying for the army

25 October 2023

The exhibition reveals the pastoral activities of chaplains from different confessions in the Defense Forces of Ukraine. It features 15 personal complexes of both those who recently received a mandate and signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and those who volunteered to spread the Word of God among the warriors at the front since 2014.

With the force of faith, prayer and spiritual support, chaplains take care of Ukrainian soldier. They are always near fighters and their families – at positions and hospitals, in the rear and front. Under shelling and during silence, in heat and frost, in dugouts and trenches, tents and ruined buildings, when an ammo box is used instead of altar, with icons and candles on it, and consectration bowl is replaced with helmet, the Warriors of Spirit perform their pastoral mission.
