The Museum collection received the latest Ukrainian anti-drone weapon – the ’General Cherry AIR’ anti-aircraft UAV. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the ’General Cherry’ FPV drone manufacturer, Museum staff, and visitors.

Yurii Savchuk, the Museum’s Director General, emphasized the significance of displaying this aspect of the war, specifically countering enemy drones, and noted that from now on, this artifact will be transformed from a technological product into a memory carrier.

Stanislav Hryshyn, co-founder of the ’General Cherry’ drone manufacturer and its Director for Strategic Development, noted the significant changes in the nature of the war that have occurred since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the need to respond to the challenges of time and dynamism of the Museum, which highlights the actual realities of the current war.

It is symbolic that the drone was handed over in the space of the Museum’s ’Threat from the Sky’ exhibition, which showcases neutralized samples of russian UAVs. Rudolf Akopyan, co-founder of the company and Director for Strategic Communications, stated that the latest Ukrainian drone, ’General Cherry,’ can down the most common russian UAVs of various types, including ’Orlan,’ ’Lancet,’ and others. To date, the General has over 2,000 targets on its list.

From now on, one such ’General Cherry AIR’ UAV will become a museum piece of technological innovation in the Ukrainian army.
