This year, the world and Ukraine celebrate 80 years since the end of World War II. However, the process of peaceful settlement was long-term and one of its components was the Yalta Peace Conference. It was in early February 1945 in Crimea that the fate of the world found itself in the hands of the “Big Three” – the United States of America, the United Kingdom and the Soviet Union.
What did the leaders of these states plan for post-war Germany? Why was the conference held in the city of Yalta? How did the decisions made affect the Ukrainian territories? And, most importantly, what lessons can we learn from that event today?
This Sunday, February 9, we invite you to take a look behind the scenes of the conference by participating in a museum session and discussion afterwards
