For memory. Tragedy through the eyes of an artist

On January 23, 2025, at 15:00, a public discussion, "For memory. Tragedy through the eyes of an artist," will be held. The event is linked to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the prisoners of the Auschwitz concentration camp in 1945 and the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust.

The participants of the event will be able to familiarize themselves with the photo presentation of works of art by Zinovii Tolkachov from the War Museum collection and the photos of Volodymyr Yudin from the Central State CinePhotoPhono Archives of Ukraine named after H. Pshenychnyi.

They will also discuss the importance of documenting historical events in the language of art and reflecting on traumatic events (circumstances) through creativity.

During the discussion, a special issue of the "Antykvar" magazine, prepared in cooperation with the National Historical Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar" team, will be presented, and discussion issues of the study of the Holocaust in Ukraine will be raised.
