The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and its combat unit Group 13 have donated three Ukrainian naval drones – MAGURA V5, V6, and V7 – to the War Museum’s collection, rewriting the history of warfare at sea. The official donation of these artifacts took place on the eve of the professional holiday of intelligence officers – Ukraine’s Military Intelligence Day.

In his opening speech, the Director General of the War Museum, Yurii Savchuk, highlighted the reliable support provided by the Main Directorate of Intelligence in documenting and publicizing russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine: “We are proud of this cooperation. You not only make history but also contribute to preserving it for future generations”.

Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence, emphasized that the donated drones are a source of pride and a testament to the development of Ukraine’s technology and military expertise. “From today, visitors will be able to see and touch the legend that forced russia’s Black Sea Fleet to hide and showed the world how we fight – with inspiration, technology, and mastery.”

MAGURA not only effectively destroys enemy vessels but also aerial targets. The V7 model has taken down two helicopters, while the V6 has shot down two and damaged one. Over two years of combat use of various MAGURA drone modifications, military intelligence experts have struck a total of 17 maritime and aerial targets of the aggressor state, completely destroying 15 of them. This was shared by the commander of the Main Directorate of Intelligence’s special unit Group 13, call sign “Thirteenth”. “But for our unit, this is not enough, and we continue to work,” the intelligence officer concluded.

The War Museum is grateful for the unique artifacts donated, which can confidently be called weapons of victory. We sincerely congratulate the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and its leader, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, on the upcoming Military Intelligence Day of Ukraine. Your heroism, courage, and self-sacrifice are forever etched in history!
