Keith Kellogg visited the War Museum

International Cooperation / Museum Life / 17 July 2025

This week, Keith Kellogg arrived in Ukraine on an official visit. As part of the visit, together with the Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights and Child Rehabilitation, Daria Herasymchuk, the diplomat visited the museum’s Multimedia Martyrology “Children...”. They honored the memory of boys and girls killed as a result of russia’s full-scale invasion and, following tradition, left toys on the improvised altar in memory of the innocent victims of aggression.

The Director General of the Museum, Yurii Savchuk, gave the U.S. President’s Special Envoy a guided tour of the exhibition “For Freedom”, dedicated to foreign volunteers fighting within the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for freedom and democracy around the world – a joint project of the War Museum and the Romulus T. Weatherman Foundation. Keith Kellogg paid tribute to those who fell in battle with the aggressor. According to open sources, this includes 870 foreigners, 91 of whom were U.S. citizens.

To commemorate the visit, the head of the Museum presented Keith Kellogg with a branded mug bearing a symbolic inscription that reflects the essence of our nation’s struggle: “Forever Free Ukraine!”

The distinguished guest highly praised the museum projects that tell the world about the Ukrainian people’s fight against russian aggression. In the guest book, he left a memorable note:“Thank you! Working for the benefit of a free and sovereign Ukraine. Your nation’s courage is unmatched. Joseph K. Kellogg. Special Envoy of President Donald Trump. July 16, 2025”.
