On September 27 at 15:00, the War Museum invites you to a public meeting with representatives of the psychological support service of the 12th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov” and the presentation of the manual “Language of Unity”.
The publication was developed by “Azov” military psychologists in cooperation with veterans and civilian experts. Its main goal is to teach civilians and the military to communicate in a way that avoids traumatizing words and helps create an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust.
The manual contains practical examples and advice: which words provide support and which may cause pain; how to find a balance between listening and silence; how to act in real-life situations. Additionally, it includes infographics and QR codes with materials for deeper study.
“Language of Unity” is a step toward creating a veteran-oriented society in which service members, upon returning from the front, will feel respected and integrated.
During the event, the key theses of the publication will be presented, followed by a panel discussion with the participation of veterans and military psychologists. In the event, the participants will be:
- Yevhen Shyshatskyi (“Vatra”) – officer of psychological support of “Azov”, head of the combat stress control service, co-author of “Language of Unity”.
- Ruslan Khalikov (“Vydavets”) – cornet of “Azov”, publisher of “Language of Unity”.
For the War Museum, it is important to remain not only a space for preserving memory but also a hub of cultural rehabilitation and dialogue. We are developing inclusive practices so that our institution becomes a place of trust and support for both veterans and civilians.
Free admission via registration.
