The museum joined the international round table

International Cooperation / 22 October 2025

An international roundtable, “Strengthening International Interest in Ukraine and Its Culture,” was held at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany. The event took place within the framework of the Ukraine Culture Security Forum, organized by the OBMIN Foundation with the support of governmental institutions and non-governmental organizations from Germany, France, Poland, and Ukraine.

The participants of the roundtable were welcomed by Stefan Rössel, Director-General for Culture and Society of the German Federal Foreign Office; Jan Tombiński, Polish Ambassador in Germany; and Małgorzata Ławrowska-von Tadden, founder of the OBMIN Foundation. The discussion was moderated by Kai-Olaf Lang, Senior Fellow at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs.

The discussion opened with a presentation by Anastasiia Bondar, Deputy Minister for Digital Development, Digital Transformations, and Digitalization of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine. Her address focused on the protection and promotion of Ukrainian culture in the context of russia’s full-scale invasion.

The Director General of the War Museum, Yurii Savchuk, also took part in the roundtable. In his remarks, he emphasized that the key to keeping Ukraine’s cultural heritage in the focus of European and global attention lies in building bilateral and multilateral cooperation and ensuring the permanent presence of Ukrainian institutions in the European cultural space through participation in joint projects.

The Museum sincerely thanks the OBMIN Foundation for its longstanding cooperation and for the opportunity to take part in a high-level international discussion on the current challenges facing Ukraine’s cultural sector.
