Events / International Cooperation / 12 May 2025

On May 12 at 14:00, the War Museum will host a talk by Dr. Greg Mills, Director of the Brenthurst Foundation (South Africa), strategic development advisor, conflict researcher, and co-author of the book The Art of War and Peace.

The title of his presentation – “What Happened in 2022? What Might the End of the War Look Like?” – addresses not only Ukraine’s past and present, but also its future and that of the world. Mills will analyze the causes behind russia’s full-scale invasion and the dynamics of the war’s early stage, as well as share his vision of possible scenarios for how the war might end.

Key topics of the lecture:

  • Which events in 2022 had a decisive impact on the course of the russian-Ukrainian war and international response;
  • What the end of the war might look like: analysis of political, military, and humanitarian dimensions;
  • What depends on Ukraine’s decisions, and what on the position of the international community;
  • Why countries of the Global South are critically important for Ukraine’s victory;
  • How information diplomacy is shaping a new global order in the current confrontation.

Greg Mills has years of experience researching conflicts across continents and has advised governments in post-war countries. His lectures combine in-depth analysis, practical insights, and relevant parallels for modern-day Ukraine.

This event is anticipated to attract significant interest from journalists, diplomats, military analysts, students, international relations scholars, and anyone concerned with peace, security, and geopolitics.
