On 20 November 2025 at 15:00, on the occasion of Children’s Day, the War Museum will present a music video for the song “Childhood Under the Sky of War” by Yuliia Romanusha from Bakhmut.
The project is the result of cooperation between students of the School of Arts of the Bakhmut City Territorial Community, who were forced to leave their hometown because of the war, and musicians of the National Exemplary Band of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The combination of the vocals of young performers with the arrangement of professionals demonstrates a powerful artistic connection between generations. Their creative collaboration symbolizes the unity of the Ukrainian people in the struggle against the Russian aggressor, becoming a significant social and artistic testimony of the era, conveying to society the voice of a new generation of children of war. Symbolically, this video was filmed in the Museum.
“This video is not just a song – it is the voice of a generation that has known the horrors of war but has not lost the will to live. We must hear these voices every day, because they are the most important witnesses to the truth about this war,” notes the song’s author, Yuliia Romanusha.
The purpose of the event is to draw public attention to the tragic fate of young Ukrainians whose childhood has been destroyed by the war, and to honour the resilience of the displaced children from the Bakhmut community by presenting their artistic work.
The event will include a screening of the video and speeches by distinguished guests who will express their support for these heroic children.
