Research

The Museum's research activities aim to develop projects highlighting the military and political aspects of the century-long struggle of Ukrainians for their freedom.

The research focuses, in particular, on military casualties, forms of resistance to totalitarian and authoritarian regimes, and the recording and interpretation of genocidal practices against the people of Ukraine.

The researchers consider the current struggle of Ukraine against the Russian aggression as continuation of the liberation struggle and state-building processes of the 20th century, which were greatly impacted by the world wars of the past.
