The Ukrspecsystems company has donated a veteran UAV to the Museum’s permanent collection. Its combat scars were carefully patched at the front lines, and it now occupies a place of honor in our institution.
Dmytro Khasapov, CEO of Ukrspecsystems, emphasized that every bit of damage on this wing is not a defect, but a mark of a completed mission that resulted in the destruction of enemy equipment. For this reason, the Ukrainian UAV manufacturer is joining the initiative to create the “Museum of Modern Military Technologies”—a new space dedicated to the evolution of Ukrainian miltech.
The donated system is assembled from two combat aircraft that operated on the front lines as part of the 150th Separate Reconnaissance Company of the 9th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It has logged over 300 hours in the sky, operating at depths of up to 80+ km behind the front lines. Its missions included the detection and fire adjustment of strikes against key enemy targets, ranging from electronic warfare (EW) systems to surface-to-air missile systems. These specific Sharks participated in operations that shifted the situation on the battlefield. Their record includes the first-ever successful detection and subsequent destruction of the RB-636AM2 “Svet-KU” (a mobile signals intelligence and information protection complex). This specific “Svet-KU” played a vital role in the functioning of an enemy command post, which was also destroyed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine immediately after.
Yurii Savchuk, Director General of the Museum, stated with confidence that such a unique veteran exhibit will take a prominent place in the “Museum of New Military Technologies.”
Today, we are mobilizing resources to create a dedicated new space. Within it, such exhibits will form the core of the narrative about the russo-Ukrainian War, the valor of our Defense Forces, and the advancement of Ukrainian engineering.
Join our fundraising efforts and help us preserve the experience that is shaping today’s history right now.
