UN Deputy Secretary-General Rosemary DiCarlo visited the War Museum

International Cooperation / 19 November 2025

A high-level international delegation led by the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo, visited the Museum.

The diplomats viewed the Museum’s multimedia project commemorating young Ukrainians killed as a result of Russian aggression – the martyrology “Children…”. The Museum’s Director General, Yurii Savchuk, welcomed the distinguished guests, and the project’s curator, Iryna Kotsabiuk, spoke about this initiative, which has become part of a new commemorative culture in Ukraine. Following an established tradition, Rosemary honored the memory of the youngest victims of the war by placing a toy at the symbolic memorial altar.

At the end of the visit, the Museum’s director presented the Under-Secretary-General with a souvenir mug as a keepsake of this meeting.

We sincerely thank Rosemary for her expression of solidarity with the Ukrainian people in these difficult times, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for organizing the visit.
