We invite you to a meeting of the Museum’s book club dedicated to the topic of the Holodomor.
This time we will read and discuss two books at once: Myron Dolot’s memoir “Execution by Hunger” and the collection “Holodomor: Silenced Voices of the Starved Children” by Lesia Melnychuk.
Execution by Hunger is a striking testimony of an eyewitness to the events of 1932–1933 in Ukraine.
Through Lesia Melnychuk’s publication, we learn about the literary and scholarly contributions of the Ukrainian diaspora in Australia on the topic of the Holodomor. The author collected 40 stories of Ukrainians who survived the genocide of the Ukrainian people orchestrated by the Stalinist regime and later moved to Australia.
During the meeting, artifacts from the Museum’s collection will also be presented – objects, photographs, and documents that preserve the memory of the Holodomor and serve as evidence of the crimes of the Soviet authorities.

Price: 100 UAH (school pupils and students), 150 UAH (adults)
Meeting place: Exhibition Center of the War Museum
